About

The Northern Suburbs Pipe Band is a self-funded, volunteer pipe band. It is based in the northern suburbs of Sydney, NSW.  Its members have come from all over the Sydney metropolitan area as well as Wollongong and the Central Coast.

The band is comprised of pipers, snare drummers, tenor drummers, a bass drummer and a drum major.  Band members come from all walks of life and backgrounds but are united in their love of pipe bands and Scottish music.  Many of the members are successful solo piping and drumming competitors, and also play with other musical groups or bands.

The band wears the Wallace tartan (after Sir William Wallace – Braveheart).

The band performs at private functions, celebratory street marches such as the Greek National Day March, social functions and Highland Days like Bundanoon in the Southern Highlands.

The band is available for hire. We can provide a full band for a large event. Or we can provide a small group of pipers and drummers, or individual performers, for smaller events, weddings, funerals or parties.
